What The Peninsula is like
This is the top of the Rough Hollow market, with estate homes in the $2M to $6M and up range. It is described as Lakeway's last gated lakefront enclave, and a guard gate with an ambassador sits at the entry. Some lots are dockable, and at last count in 2018 there were seven of them. Houses here are large custom builds in stucco and stone, with tall rooms facing the water.
Because the point juts into Lake Travis, many homes see water on more than one side. That means glass on every elevation, not just a single view wall. Rear terraces and pool areas tend to face the lake, so the glass line can run long.
What Peninsula windows deal with
Water is the first problem. Lake spray and sprinkler overspray both leave white mineral spots, and when they bake in the sun they can etch the glass for good. West facing panes here catch the afternoon light head on and show every smear, so a soap film is easy to spot. Our water runs through a dual RO, 4 stage system with a DI resin tank, so it dries clean.
Shoreline homes also pick up bird droppings and dust from the water side. Tall entry glass and stair towers are common in estate designs, and those are exactly where poles earn their keep. We reach up to three stories without a ladder on the house.

How we work The Peninsula
Access comes first. We confirm the gate arrangement with you ahead of time, whether that is a name on the list or you meeting us, and we arrive as scheduled. Estate jobs usually run long, so we block a good part of the morning. Natural stone terraces and limestone are only soft washed, and pool decks and patios are cleaned by hand so the water does not soak everything.
A 6,000 sq ft Peninsula home comes to about $600 for exterior windows, and that visit takes roughly four to six hours depending on the glass. Add inside work at $15 a window for the full inside and out clean. Quotes arrive by text, usually inside the hour.

The Peninsula questions
Do I need to be home for the gate?
Not always. Many owners leave our name with the gate ambassador or let us in remotely. Tell us what works and we will plan the arrival around it.
Can you remove the white spots on my lake facing windows?
Often, yes. Hard water spot removal is $10 per pane, and light mineral spotting responds well. Deep etching in the glass itself cannot be polished out by a cleaning, but we will tell you honestly what we see.
Do you clean the glass around the pool and dock side?
Yes. Exterior glass at the water side is cleaned with water fed poles from the ground. Pool decks are cleaned by hand, not pressure sprayed, so water stays off the glass.
Is a plan worth it on the point?
Lake spray builds up quickly here. A quarterly plan saves 15%, includes the yearly screen clean, hard water removal on up to 5 windows each visit, and the 7 day rain guarantee.
